Extension tubes – safe overheating protection for sensor equipment

Standardized extension tubes are used as an add-on to fittings in many plant engineering process for the chemical, petrochemical and power plant industries. They are used to separate the process from the environment and protect the measuring insert base and any electronic components in the connection head against excessive temperature stress. The extension tube length is generally determined by the thickness of the insulation around the plant component.

The various extension tubes versions are outlined in the standard DIN 43772 and in works-standard specifications, particularly in the chemical industry. RÖSSEL-Messtechnik provides the entire range of extension tube models as spare parts. The extension tubes are available as one-piece or multi-piece assemblies with material certificates.
