High-voltage thermocouples – temperature measurement for battery components

Measuring the temperature of high-voltage batteries and other components in an electrified powertrain requires the use of special sensors. Our touch-proof, TÜV-tested high-voltage thermocouples are high-voltage resistant up to 6 kV DC and have been specially designed to meet the special requirements involved in testing the temperatures of battery systems.

Tests in various load scenarios are particularly important in the development of electric vehicles and battery systems. When taking measurements, it’s important that the operators of the measurement modules and high-voltage sensors are protected from touch voltages. Several factors also need to be taken into account due to the standard exclusive reliance on field wiring.
