Connectors for thermocouples

Don’t lose any accuracy with our connectors for thermocouples

Connectors for thermocouples are used to transmit thermoelectric voltage from the thermocouple to the reference junction or to transmit signals. In order to account for the wide variety of applications in different industries such as power plant engineering, steel industry or furnace construction, connectors for thermocouples are available in miniature and standard models. The contacts in the thermocouple connectors are made from the thermoelectric materials used to make thermocouples. However, connectors for noble metal thermocouples are only made from compensation materials. This guarantees reliable temperature measurement and safe transmission of the thermoelectric voltage in the millivolt range from the thermocouple. In order to set them apart, connectors for thermocouples are labeled according to the internationally valid color code laid out in IEC 60584 Part 3. All connectors feature solid contacts and are self-locking with reverse polarity protection. The connectors are designed with various insulation materials that can be used in temperatures ranging from -60°C to +700°C. Ceramic insulation material can also be used in vacuum environments.
