Rössel Messtechnik is a member of the AWT
RÖSSEL-Messtechnik GmbH has been a member of the AWT since November last year.
The AWT is a research association of the Industrial Collective Research (IGF), which deals with topics such as heat treatment, materials technology and sustainability.
On 11 April 204, the AWT conference took place in Remscheid, in which RÖSSEL-Messtechnik GmbH also took part.
The Technical Committee 25 met there in the seminar rooms of the Technologiepark Technologie Fabrik Remscheid to discuss topics relating to quality assurance in heat treatment, such as annealing and hardening, and the corresponding standards. Practical recommendations for action are derived from this and there is overarching co-operation with other specialist committees.
RÖSSEL-Messtechnik was represented by Frank Elsenbach (Managing Director of CentroCal) and Carsten Tillmann. The meeting was chaired by Arnold Horsch and Markus Milde.
The following topics were on the agenda: listing of all relevant standards for QA + testing standards, standardisation work in heat treatment - report on the current status of standardisation work, interim status of group work: comparison of AMS2750 / CQI-9 / ISO 20431 and status of reported problems from day-to-day business for future projects.
Standards and international standardisation work were discussed - including the conflicts of interest between the USA / China / Europe.
A draft for AMS2750H is currently available. Some open points and questions arising from this were discussed. Further discussions will take place in order to put the new AMS2750 into practice.
At the next meeting, there will be a comparison between pyrometers and thermal imaging cameras, among other things.
RÖSSEL-Messtechnik is also involved in AWT work in order to contribute to the current development of standards in heat treatment and to provide expert advice on temperature measurement technology.
In October this year, from 8-10 October 2024, RÖSSEL-Messtechnik GmbH will be represented as a new exhibitor at the Hardening Congress in Cologne.
